Kybella® is an injectable aesthetic treatment designed to permanently reduce localized fat in targeted areas. It is best known for treating submental fullness (the “double chin”) but is also used off-label in other small, stubborn fat pockets.

What Is Kybella?

Kybella contains deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring bile acid produced by the body to help break down and absorb dietary fat. When injected into fat tissue, deoxycholic acid destroys fat cells, which are then permanently removed by the body.

Once destroyed, these fat cells cannot regenerate, making Kybella a permanent fat-reduction solution (assuming stable weight).
